Child Safety

Child Safety

Child safety is a top priority in Satya Bharti Schools, and we have implemented comprehensive measures to ensure a secure and supportive environment for students. Here are some of the key child safety initiatives in place:

    • Regular Child Safety Training: Training teachers twice a year ensures they are well-equipped to identify potential risks, respond to child safety concerns, and create a safe learning environment.
    • Established Processes and Policies: Adhering to clear and documented policies related to child safety provides a strong foundation for protecting students. These policies cover aspects like child protection, student discipline, bullying prevention, and reporting procedures.
    • Disaster Management Training: The school organizes an annual disaster-training program focusing on fire safety, earthquake, health emergency, flood, etc. This intends to reinforce the teachers’ and staff members’ understanding of emergency protocols.
    • First Aid Training: The school conducts first aid training to equip both students and staff with the necessary skills to respond to medical emergencies.
    • Emergency Drills: Quarterly evacuation drills for fire and other emergencies prepare students and staff to respond calmly and safely in case of real emergencies.
    • Important Information to Parents: Display important information to parents like no fee charge, no charge for any exposure visit or activity, consent for out-of-school visit etc are displayed in the school along with the contact number of the Principal and key functionaries of the foundation.
    • Displaying Important Numbers: Displaying important contact information on notice boards in the schools allows students, parents, and staff to easily access emergency numbers and reporting mechanisms in case of a child safety concern.
    • Suggestion/Complaint Boxes: These boxes installed in the schools provide students and others with a safe and anonymous way to voice concerns or suggestions related to child safety and the school environment.
    • Out-of-School Visit: Advance mandatory consent for any out-of-school visit for the student is taken from the parents in writing in the prescribed format. No student is allowed to external visit without the consent of parents/guardians. One parent on every 5-10 students and one mother if girls are there in the group accompany the students during the external visit
    • School Discipline and Child Protection Committees: A committee comprising the teachers at the school level to address the issues related to indiscipline among students is in place. The discipline committee looks into all reported cases of indiscipline and corrective actions are taken. At the organization level, the child protection committee inquires about any reported cases of child safety-related issues.
    • MDM-safety and quality: Our MMD cooks are trained and certified for the food safety training (FOSTAC) and supported in getting FSSAI certification. Principals and vendors taste meals 30-45 minutes before serving and food samples are taken before serving of the meal and kept until the next day.
